Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead planning, execution, and analysis of functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing for hardware and integrated systems.

You will drive test readiness, coordinate cross-functional teams, analyze data for root causes, and ensure verification meets engineering, customer, and contractual requirements. This role emphasizes hands-on, autonomous work in a dynamic space tech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance tests.
• Experience developing test procedures, verification plans, instrumentation strategies, and automated test solutions.
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition software.
• Understanding of AS9100 quality standards and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop test procedures, verification plans, instrumentation strategies, and automated test configurations for complex qualification activities.
• Lead test planning by evaluating hardware configurations, software baselines, and facility capabilities for program readiness.
• Determine test methods and acceptance criteria aligned with requirements and contractual objectives.
• Lead functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing, directing execution and monitoring system performance.
• Evaluate test data, identify failure trends, and perform root cause investigations to support engineering decisions.
• Validate corrective actions through repeat testing and verification activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve verification issues affecting qualification activities.
• Develop comprehensive test reports, verification records, and discrepancy documentation.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and failure analyses with corrective action recommendations.
• Manage laboratory equipment, instrumentation, automated test systems, and calibration activities.
• Assess and improve ES D controls, FOD prevention, and AS9100 compliance; drive process improvements.
• Develop improvements to test methodologies and verification efficiency across projects.
