Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD, is seeking a Test Engineer III/IV to join the Land Systems program for the Cottonmouth ARV platform. You will design, develop, and execute tests for hardware and software, ensure quality and reliability, and collaborate across engineering teams to verify requirements are met.

Responsibilities include test planning, case development, execution, defect tracking, and presenting results to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience with test engineering or program leadership.
• Experience with hardware and/or software integration and requirements allocation.
• Proficiency in test planning, design reviews, and validation planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal/external reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute tests for hardware, software, and systems to ensure quality and reliability.
• Create test plans, write test cases, identify defects, and coordinate fixes with development teams.
• Develop and execute test scripts for functional, performance, and security tests.
• Manage defect tracking and report results to stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and technicians to ensure alignment with requirements.
