Job summary

RedCat Aerial in Torrance is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, prototype, test and validate mechanical systems for flight hardware and ground control. You will lead reliability-driven testing and build robust fixtures for high-volume production.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in mechanical test or reliability, hands-on data acquisition, vibration, thermal, and EMC/EMI testing, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5+ years in reliability or mechanical test engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing and building custom test setups and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with qualification testing for complex electromechanical systems and statistical analysis.
• Excellent planning, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create custom test fixtures, automation, and data acquisition for validation.
• Apply DOE and reliability methods to extract insights for engineering decisions.
• Support supplier quality, qualification testing, and risk management deliverables.
• Contribute to root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
