Job summary

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. We seek a Senior Test Engineer to own testing for our compute box, from first production units through serial production, defining test strategy and building stations.

You will drive yield, test time, and coverage, while collaborating with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to scale production and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in manufacturing or hardware test engineering.
• Experience building end-to-end test stations from scratch.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and Linux debugging.
• Ability to read schematics and debug hardware with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy across PCBA, subassemblies, and vehicle install.
• Design, build, and commission first functional and end-of-line test stations.
• Cover interfaces on compute assemblies: power, boot, storage, memory, high-speed links.
• Define per-unit data capture with yield and test time reporting.
• Own first-pass yield and drive root-cause with cross-functional teams.
• Write test procedures and train technicians.
• Release and version tests aligned with hardware/firmware changes.
• Ensure safety and production standards are met on the line.
