Job summary

Nortech Systems Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead automated test strategies across development and production, driving qualification, calibration, and data acquisition.

You will design and maintain test software and fixtures, analyze test data, and mentor engineers while collaborating with hardware, firmware, and quality teams. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in automated test systems for electronic products.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW/TestStand and programming languages (Python, C#, C/C++).
• Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts; build/test fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost effective automated test strategies achieving coverage and cycle time objectives.
• Lead lifecycle of automated test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain test software, sequences, drivers, and data acquisition interfaces.
• Define test requirements, methods, conditions, and acceptance criteria for development and production tests.
• Troubleshoot test system failures; perform root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Analyze test data and communicate results, risks, and recommendations.
• Perform DFx reviews to improve testability, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Create and maintain test system documentation and records.
• Train production personnel on safe operation and maintenance of test systems.
• Lead projects, coordinate suppliers and cross functional teams; mentor others.
• Comply with quality, safety, and documentation requirements.
