Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS Group is seeking a Senior Test Engineer fluent in English to work remotely within the EU. You will integrate with the Development team and closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on test strategy and automation.

The role requires a university IT degree and at least 7 years of hands-on testing experience, with strong API and database testing, automation, and integration testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT and at least 7 years IT experience.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Kreya or similar tools.
• Experience with DBs and SQL, containerized solutions and observability tools.
• Experience in writing and editing automated tests.
• Experience with system integration testing.
• Familiarity with testing standards and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope of testing for each product and release, collaborating with Test Engineers and writing test scenarios.
• Plan test activities, manage progress, and align priorities with involved parties for environments and tools.
• Prepare product quality assessments by reviewing requirements and design, creating test data and automation for tests.

Job description

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Test Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely (within EU). In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.

Tasks:

• Define the scope of testing within the context of each product and release by collaborating with Test Engineers, defining test approaches and reviewing and writing test scenarios;
• Planning test activities, follow up on progress and approach by ensuring priority alignment inside the team, driving alignment with the involved parties in setting up the environments and tools;
• Prepare assessment of the product quality by reviewing requirements, design documentation, creating the test scenarios, test cases and test data including automation of the test cases;
• Run assessment of the product quality by running tests and reporting on the outcome;
• Continuously assess and look for ways to improve the quality of the product including requirements review and improvement to the testing approach;
• Leverage test analysis and test automation patterns to ensure requirement coverage, fast and reliable test execution.
• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of at least 7 years;
• Hands on experience in creating efficient test approaches, test planning, test scenarios, test case creation and execution;
• Experience in API testing using Postman, Kreya or similar tools;
• Experience using DBs and SQL, containerized solutions and observability tools;
• Experience in writing and editing automated tests;
• Experience with system integration testing;
• Excellent knowledge of testing standards, methods;
• Defect Management including prioritization of defects and root cause analysis;
• Experience in complex, enterprise system integration;
• End User (UAT) management;
• Experience with Test and Defect Management tools;
• Experience in agile software development and testing methodologies;
• Ability to understand business context, define priorities, communicate with technology focused teams and communicate the outcome of test campaigns;
• Excellent command of the English language.
