Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to validate a Palantir Foundry data migration and perform SAT, SIT, and performance testing in a remote US environment.

You will plan, execute, and facilitate customer sign-off while verifying data integrity across legacy and Foundry targets in a sprint-based agile setting, with a required active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• 5+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience, including data migration, ETL, or data pipeline validation.
• Hands-on experience planning and executing System Integration Testing (SIT), acceptance testing (SAT/UAT), and performance testing.
• Experience with source-to-target data reconciliation, data profiling, and SQL-based data validation.
• Experience with test planning, test case design, requirements traceability, and defect logging, triage, and retest.
• Experience testing incrementally within Agile/sprint-based delivery, including regression testing.
• Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes.
• Active Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Validates a Sprint Palantir Foundry proof of concept end to end, verifying data migration flows correctly through the Foundry pipeline to target-system formats.
• Plans and executes SAT against customer acceptance criteria and facilitates customer validation and sign-off.
• Performs SIT of bidirectional interfaces and end-to-end path into target-system outputs.
• Conducts performance testing of pipeline/ETL throughput on CDC workload across ~40 tables and establishes baseline metrics.
• Performs source-to-target data reconciliation between legacy snapshot and Palantir Foundry target.
• Executes schema-conformance, data-quality validation, and data profiling to ensure no loss or incorrect transformation.
• Develops test plans, cases, and traceability; logs, triages, and retests defects.
• Runs regression tests and integrates automated testing tooling where available.

Responsibilities

• Validates a Sprint Palantir Foundry proof of concept end to end, verifying that data migrated from a legacy U.S. Army system flows correctly through the Foundry pipeline and into a target-system-consumable format
• Plans and executes System Acceptance Testing (SAT) against customer acceptance criteria, and plans and facilitates customer validation and sign-off
• Performs System Integration Testing (SIT) of the bidirectional interfaces and the full end-to-end path into target-system-consumable output
• Conducts performance testing of pipeline/ETL throughput on the change data capture (CDC) workload across approximately 40 normalized, time-variant tables, and establishes baseline performance metrics for the migrated flow
• Performs source-to-target data reconciliation (row- and field-level integrity) between the legacy system snapshot and the Palantir Foundry target
• Executes schema-conformance, data-quality, validation-rule, data-profiling, and completeness testing to confirm nothing is lost or transformed incorrectly in migration
• Develops test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability; logs, triages, and retests defects
• Executes testing incrementally alongside the build on the Agile sprint cadence, running regression as pipelines iterate and applying automated test and validation tooling where available
• Performs testing within a NIPRNet test environment, with the current scope focused on unidirectional ingest

Requirements

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
• Plans and leads major technology assignments
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• May supervise others
• An active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Any Palantir Foundry certification or credential
• Experience testing Army data migrations or ERP/personnel systems
• Experience working in NIPRNet test environments
• Experience with automated test and data-validation tooling
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification
