Job summary

Version 1 Solutions Limited is seeking a Software Engineer in Test with 4+ years of experience to perform manual testing while building and maintaining automated tests. You will contribute to agile teams, define test strategies, automate tests, and ensure quality across front-end, API, and integration layers.

Responsibilities include reviewing environments, recording issues, and providing test estimates, with a focus on cross-browser validation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of software testing experience.
• Experience delivering automated QA across web apps and APIs.
• Proficiency in one of Java, JavaScript, Python or C#.

Job description

You may have been working as a Software Engineer in Test, Test Engineer or Test Analyst for a minimum of 4 years and is confident in their ability performing manual test but also enjoy conducting automation testing. You'll be part of an agile team helping our clients achieve their business transformation goals by identifying requirements, developing solutions and providing ongoing guidance and advice in test. You may also get involved with:

• Defining and executing test strategies and scripts
• Accurate recording and monitoring of issues
• Providing support to the development of scrum teams to automate tests to guide development
• Reviewing test environments and processes to facilitate continuous improvement and maintenance of quality standards
• Providing test estimates
  Demonstrated experience of Automated Quality Assurance: Deliver overnight cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration and acceptance tests.
• Delivered front end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory, systems integration and user acceptance testing e.g. manual testing.
• Confident with building and maintaining frameworks in one or more of these languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Have practical experience with open source tools such as: Cypress, Karate, PlayWright, Selenium or similar.
• Worked in an agile environment.
