Job summary

SRCTec, LLC is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, develop, and test solutions for radar surveillance, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems. You will build and maintain test systems, develop software, and support manufacturing with data-driven decisions.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, diagnose hardware and software issues, and ensure documentation meets quality and schedule requirements. Syracuse, NY-based role offering a competitive package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in test engineering or related area.
  • Experience with radar, RF, or electronic warfare concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, and TestStand desired.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of manufacturing test systems for radar, EW, and UAS tech.
  • Apply engineering principles to introduce designs into production.
  • Develop and maintain test hardware to improve capability and throughput.
  • Modify and maintain software such as LabVIEW and Python.
  • Use SQL and data tools (MATLAB, Minitab) for data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, and system issues in test environments.
  • Provide engineering support during new product introductions and production.
  • Ensure test documentation and records meet requirements.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the development of manufacturing test systems for radar surveillance, electronic warfare, and UAS technologies
  • Apply sound engineering principles to support the introduction of new designs into production
  • Assist in developing and maintaining test hardware to increase capability, reliability, and throughput
  • Modify and maintain software such as LabVIEW and Python
  • Utilize SQL queries and engineering tools (MATLAB, Minitab, etc.) to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement efforts
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system-level issues within manufacturing test environments
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing during new product introductions and ongoing production
  • Ensure test documentation, requirements, and records meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, or related discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of radar, RF, and electronic warfare systems
  • Familiarity with how product requirements translate into manufacturing and test solutions
  • Exposure to design-for-test or manufacturing test requirements development is a plus
  • Knowledge of programming tools like LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python
  • Familiarity with databases and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of structured problem solving and root cause analysis techniques
  • Experience with hardware or software troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on technical challenges
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

  • Exposure to manufacturing or production test tools, fixtures, and hardware systems
  • Programming experience in languages such as Python or Matlab
  • LabVIEW certifications (CLA, CLAD, CLD)
  • Hands-on experience with RF measurements, high-speed digital systems, or PCA-to-system-level testing
  • Eagerness to learn and use a data-driven mindset
  • Experience with structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and hardware/software troubleshooting

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $92,000 to $112,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
