Job summary

Paragon Technology Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Test Engineer to define test cases from system requirements and to validate software and systems. You will develop automated tests, participate in Agile activities, and support test events with external agencies.

The role requires deep experience in test engineering, documentation, and collaboration with testers and developers to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

• Review test plans, cases, procedures and reports for releases.
• Support development of test documentation and TEMP creation.
• Identify, document, test, and verify Incident Reports and STRs.
• Witness developmental testing and produce TARs with results and recommendations.
• Plan, coordinate and perform test events such as OT&E.
• Collaborate with external test organizations (AFOTEC, JITC).

Senior Test Engineer

The Senior Test Engineer formulates/defines test cases based on system requirements and specification. Devises or modifies procedures to test a unit or a system as a whole. Perform test cases, documents the result, and tracks changes. Prepares detailed specifications from which program bugs will be corrected and follows up with additional tests to ensure proper functional and system behavior per spec. Implements agile testing practices, writes manual and automated test scripts, and uses automated testing tools. Develops and maintains automated test cases for initial validation of features. Participates in day-to-day Agile activities. Writes specialized testing and monitoring tools. Analyzes WSDL and Schema contracts for quality and testability.

• Experience reviewing test plans, cases, procedures and reports for all product releases for completeness, consistency and applicability to the requirements
• Experience providing support for the development of test and support documentation and building and evaluating Test Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
• Experience identifying, documenting, testing, and verifying Incident Reports (IR) and Software, Trouble Reports (STR), and provide system impact analysis.
• Possesses expertise to witness applicable developmental testing and produce Test Analysis Reports (TAR) to document results and recommendations
• Experience delivering support to plan, coordinate and perform test events, such as Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E)
• Ability to support and collaborate with external test organizations e.g., Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center's (AFOTEC) and Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC)

Qualifications:

• Secret clearance required.
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in test engineering
