Job summary

ADP, Inc. at Scott AFB, IL seeks a Senior Test Engineer to define test cases from requirements and specifications, devise testing procedures, and execute test plans to verify system behavior per spec.

Responsibilities include writing manual and automated test scripts, maintaining automated tests for early feature validation, analyzing WSDL and Schema contracts, and supporting Agile activities. Collaboration with external test centers may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing test plans, cases, procedures and reports for releases.
• Experience supporting test documentation and building TEMP.
• Experience identifying, documenting, testing, and verifying Incident Reports (IR) and Software, Trouble Reports (STR).
• Witness developmental testing and produce TAR to document results and recommendations.
• Experience delivering support to plan, coordinate and perform test events, such as OT&E.
• Ability to collaborate with external test organizations e.g., AFOTEC and JITC.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

The Senior Test Engineer formulates/defines test cases based on system requirements and specification. Devises or modifies procedures to test a unit or a system as a whole. Perform test cases, documents the result, and tracks changes. Prepares detailed specifications from which program bugs will be corrected and follows up with additional tests to ensure proper functional and system behavior per spec. Implements agile testing practices, writes manual and automated test scripts, and uses automated testing tools. Develops and maintains automated test cases for initial validation of features. Participates in day-to-day Agile activities. Writes specialized testing and monitoring tools. Analyzes WSDL and Schema contracts for quality and testability.

• Experience reviewing test plans, cases, procedures and reports for all product releases for completeness, consistency and applicability to the requirements
• Experience providing support for the development of test and support documentation and building and evaluating Test Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
• Experience identifying, documenting, testing, and verifying Incident Reports (IR) and Software, Trouble Reports (STR), and provide system impact analysis.
• Possesses expertise to witness applicable developmental testing and produce Test Analysis Reports (TAR) to document results and recommendations
• Experience delivering support to plan, coordinate and perform test events, such as Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E)
• Ability to support and collaborate with external test organizations e.g., Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center’s (AFOTEC) and Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC)

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in test engineering
