Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Engineer to develop advanced ATE test programs supporting NPI, quality and capability initiatives.

You will qualify and characterize products, implement baseline software/hardware solutions, and collaborate with product engineering and operations to enable smooth ramp and release. Mentoring and coordinating with third-party teams are also expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital and mixed signal test engineering.
• Experience programming in C++, Python and Perl with reusable templates and libraries.
• Experience testing ICs or circuits with standard lab instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical, Computer Engineering or other related field with 5+ years or equivalent experience


• 5+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE).


• Experience with COHU Diamondx, SPEA DOT800, Advantest V93K, ETS364.


• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital and mixed signal test engineering.


• Experience in programming such as C++, basic, Perl, python, and a history of implementing well designed code templates and libraries.


• Experience in testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.


• Proficient with ATE analog digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and strong debug/troubleshooting experience


• Hands‑on experience in debugging analog products comm protocols & memory


• Experience with test hardware and test program development


• Travel 0-10%
