Job summary

CTRL+ LLC in Maryland is seeking an experienced software quality engineer for an on-site role in Annapolis Junction. The position requires active TS/SCI with polygraph and commuting distance to the site; some roles may allow limited telework but regular on-site attendance is expected.

You will execute manual and automated tests, author tests with Playwright and Cucumber, and run load, performance, chaos, functional and end-to-end tests while applying microservices, CI/CD and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph; no sponsorship for new clearances.
• Must live within commuting distance of Annapolis Junction, MD; on-site attendance required.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and microservices/CI/CD is preferred.

The mission

Help modernize a legacy operational system with a microservices architecture, AWS-native technologies and modern CI/CD.

What you’ll do

• Execute manual and automated tests within a test framework
• Author tests with Cucumber and Playwright
• Run load, performance, chaos, functional and end-to-end testing
• Apply microservices, CI/CD and Agile practices
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or a Master’s plus 7 years).
• One or more of: Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter, Swagger, Selenium or Cypress
• 508 testing tools such as JAWS or NVDA
• Java, JavaScript, Python or Ansible
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, GitLab or Jira

Compensation and flexibility

$113.62–$125.45 per hour in approximate pay; employer 401(k) contribution is additional.

Compensation: The listed range reflects approximate hourly pay across our compensation models and excludes Ctrl+’s employer 401(k) contribution. Your hourly pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and the compensation model you select. The lower end reflects a no-bonus option with five weeks of PTO; the upper end reflects the Max Rate option without bonus or PTO.

Choose from three compensation models: Max Rate, With Bonus, or With Bonus and PTO. Offers include a projected five-year compensation comparison and a package comparison sheet. PTO and bonuses depend on the selected model and role eligibility.
