Job summary

Photon is seeking a senior QA engineer to lead automated testing of front-end and web services. The role focuses on test strategy, automation with Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient, and CI/CD integration to ensure high-quality releases in an Agile setting.

Ideal candidates have extensive RESTful service testing experience, strong debugging skills, and hands-on experience with RestAssured, JMeter, Jenkins, and Git. Collaboration across teams is essential for improving testability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience testing and automating front-end and webservice applications.
• Hands-on programming with Java/C#/Groovy, HTTP, RESTful services, Jenkins, Git.
• Experience testing and automating webservices (HttpClient, RestAssured, JMeter, SoapUI).
• Ability to investigate and debug issues with front-end apps and web services.
• Experience testing Angular web applications.
• Knowledge of SDLC, coding standards, reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations.
• Experience in Agile environments and with APIs, RestAssured.

Responsibilities

• Influence software design with testing and testability, promote reliable engineering practices.
• Write and maintain features and automated tests across unit, component, integration, functional, and performance tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines with test automation and reliability.
• Collaborate on improving test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
• Design and develop test automation for front-end and web services using Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient.
• Participate in code and test code reviews with the Agile team.
