Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to develop and maintain automated test suites for a Workplace Investing product. The role emphasizes a software engineering mindset in testing and requires extensive automation experience.

The position is Hybrid onsite every other week in Smithfield, RI, with a W2 arrangement and benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software product experience with testing focus.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with emphasis on test automation.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining testing libraries and frameworks.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Java or JavaScript; experience with Cucumber/BDD.
• Strong API testing knowledge with RestAssured or Karate for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with SQL and querying databases (Oracle, Snowflake, DB2).
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git; embedding automation in pipelines.
• Experience testing distributed applications across layers with automation frameworks.
• Experience in teams of SDETs focused on automation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for product quality and release readiness.
• Establish and enhance automation infrastructure and reusable test artifacts.
• Collaborate with agile teams to define and accelerate test automation strategies.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and optimize accordingly.
• Implement test data management, mid-tier automation, and automation analytics.
• Contribute as a strong team member with a collaborative approach to testing.
