Job summary

Bio-Techne is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated tests for instrument software and analytics platforms. You will work with software engineers, scientists, product owners, and SQA to ensure testability and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes automation architecture, test-data design, and verification planning across protein-analysis products and digital lab solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Six years of relevant software test automation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for desktop, web, API, and data-pipeline applications.
• Define and contribute to test automation architecture, frameworks, and reusable components.
• Integrate automated tests into source-control and CI/CD workflows using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Develop automated tests using Python, TestComplete, shell scripting, SQL, and related technologies.
• Create and maintain test data, environments, mocks, and utilities for validating workflows and error handling.
• Review requirements and designs for testability and traceability.
• Develop verification plans, protocols, test cases, and records per Quality System (QMS).
• Document, reproduce, and verify defects using Jira or other defect-management systems.
