Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring a QA Automation Engineer in Des Moines, IA to design and maintain Playwright + TypeScript automation frameworks for healthcare member portal applications. You will drive test strategy, improve coverage, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will execute UI and API tests, validate data with SQL, and ensure robust cross-browser testing across Chromium, Edge, and Firefox within CI/CD pipelines.

Job description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright & TypeScript
• Automate end-to-end business workflows for healthcare member portal applications
• Develop and execute UI and API automation test scripts
• Lead automation strategy, framework enhancements, and test coverage improvements
• Execute regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Perform cross-browser testing across Chromium, Edge, and Firefox
• Integrate automation suites with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and coordinate defect resolution
• Perform backend data validation using SQL and API validation techniques
• Review automation code, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior automation engineers
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and test strategy discussions
• Provide test execution reports, quality metrics, and status updates to stakeholders
• Collaborate effectively with Onshore/Offshore QA, Development, and Business teams

Requirements

• Strong Healthcare/Payer domain experience
• Knowledge of Members, Claims, Benefits, Eligibility, Enrollment, Providers & Authorizations
• Hands-on Playwright + TypeScript automation experience
• Strong UI & API test automation experience
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD / GitHub
• Strong SQL/database testing experience
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• MongoDB is a plus
