Job summary

Launch Consulting Group seeks a Senior Test Analyst to support a major client in West Sacramento, CA. The role requires on-site presence with 2-3 days/week in the office and strict adherence to business hours.

Candidates should bring 10+ years of testing experience across large applications, governance of defects, test metrics, and strong SQL and ALM skills (JAMA). Pension-domain experience is highly valued, with automation exposure (Selenium/Cucumber/Robot).

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in the last 12 years as a test analyst on large systems.
• Experience coordinating business, functional, and technical testers to set goals.
• Defect management including validation, follow-up, escalation actions for defects.
• Producing test execution and defect metrics (burndown charts, trends).
• Reviewing project deliverables: BRs, rules, test strategies/plans/cases/transition plans, traceability matrices.
• At least 8 years using ALM tools such as JAMA to document requirements and maintain traceability.
• At least 8 years with SQL for testing data.
• Experience in a public pension system of similar size.
• Leading or participating in pension software development projects.
• At least 5 years designing, developing, and executing tests with Selenium, Cucumber, Robot.

Job description

Performance Period: The total services period may be up to thirty-six (36) months, with an option to extend up to twenty-four (24) additional months.

Client will only accept one (1) offer per Vendor (Respondent) for this RFO. Each offer shall only include one (1) proposed project person.

The Vendor/Contractor must be able to perform all work on‑site at the Client headquarters facility in West Sacramento, CA. At Client’ discretion, a different approach (i.e., fully in‑office, fully remote or different work hours) may be utilized based on Client business need and/or directive. Work must be performed during Client business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and shall not be permitted on California State Holidays identified on the California Department of Human Resources website.

Required & Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills

Mandatory:

• At least ten (10) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years performing the following activities while working as a test analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation or modernization of legacy applications:
  • Coordinating with a team of business, functional and technical testers to set up test execution goals and objectives.
  • Defect management being responsible for validation, follow-up, solution verification, and escalation actions for all defects encountered for the application.
  • Producing test execution and defect metrics as necessary for the project teams comprising of burndown charts and trends.
• At least ten (10) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years reviewing, developing, and / or providing input to project deliverables and artifacts produced during the project such as the following:
  • Business Requirements and Business Rules
  • Technical and Service Requirements
  • Test Strategies
  • Test Plans
  • Test Cases
  • Transition Plans
  • Traceability Matrices
• At least eight (8) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as JAMA to document functional and non‑functional requirements, design specifications, test cases, defects and providing full traceability for the project.
• At least eight (8) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years having a good hands‑on experience of working with large databases, using and writing SQL Queries for finding data for testing applications or Interfaces.
• Experience as a Test Analyst working with a public pension system of similar size to Client.
• Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/ retirement‑related software development projects.
• At least five (5) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years designing, developing, and performing testing using testing automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber and ROBOT Framework.
• The proposed project person will be able to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on‑site 2-3 days per week at Client Headquarters, West Sacramento, CA. If no, provide a short explanation. (no points).
