Job summary

BWC Terminals in Houston, TX, seeks a Terminal Manager to oversee all operations at a bulk liquid storage terminal in a safety-focused, compliant environment. You will lead staff, manage budgeted expenditures, and drive throughput while protecting people and assets.

The role emphasizes leadership, maintenance oversight, compliance, and collaboration with commercial and operations teams to deliver reliable service and regulatory adherence across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years’ terminal/general management experience.
• Terminal Manager experience is highly preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in terminal management or related terminal, refinery, or tank vessel experience.
• Experience in staff management.
• Knowledge of operating equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Project management knowledge.
• Must be TWIC eligible.
• Ability to use hand/power tools.
• Ability to wear safety equipment, including safety shoes, goggles, gloves.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, blueprints, and drawings.
• Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information to staff, management, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and manage terminal operations, maintenance and shipping and receiving.
• Identify improvement opportunities to achieve objectives cost-effectively.
• Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
• Manage capital asset maintenance and oversee PM program.
• Establish and monitor terminal performance for operations and quality standards.
• Supervise terminal staff including time-off requests and performance management.
• Plan and coordinate customer service activities with commercial and operations teams.
• Control overtime, repair expenses and utilities.
• Maintain terminal equipment; oversee repairs or replacements as needed.
• Provide leadership and training to achieve company goals.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare operational and capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Recruitment, retention and employee relations in coordination with HR.
