Job summary

Nike in the United States is seeking a Senior Footwear Materials Designer focused on Tennis Footwear. You will collaborate across Footwear Industrial Design, Colour, Graphic, Digital Design, Marketing, and Development to translate seasonal direction into innovative materials.

You will join an expression team led by the Expression Design Director, handling concepting through finalizing tech packs, and partnering with manufacturing to ensure quality, cost, and calendar targets.

Qualifications

• Submission of a creative design portfolio is required to be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion, textiles, or industrial design or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in material design, textile design, fashion design, product design, industrial design, accessory or footwear design.

Responsibilities

• Own the material craft: concept, sample, and specify uppers/tooling using cutting edge processes.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to align performance, cost targets, and calendars.
• Translate ideas to tech packs: BOMs, finishes, callouts, test methods, and construction details.
