Job summary

Interactive Brokers, a global financial services leader, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build and extend telemetry and analytics frameworks. You will own data pipelines and enable self-service analytics for product managers and engineers across teams.

You will work with OpenTelemetry and the ELK stack, instrument services, ensure data quality, and provide accessible data for analytics initiatives worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data platforms, telemetry pipelines or analytics tooling.
• Strong programming in Java and Python.
• Deep experience with ELK Stack and OpenTelemetry across traces, metrics and logs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve telemetry framework and tooling.
• Build self-service data models, dashboards and tooling for non-specialists.
• Process and model OpenTelemetry data at scale.
• Manage two data engineers and set technical direction.
• Instrument systems with teams and report telemetry consistently.
• Analyze services performance and usage beyond self-service.
