Job summary

Our client is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to lead large-scale, long-haul fiber installation projects. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance, mentoring colleagues along the way.

Responsibilities include leading project quality plans, safety programs, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor management while ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and specifications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address issues.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Willing to travel 50%.

• Set priorities and allocate resources across the field team
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

Working Conditions

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
• This is a site-based position requiring travel to various offices and project locations as needed
