Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address issues.
• Knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Willing to travel 50%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to overall project timelines.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of projects.
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources across the field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.

Working Conditions
