Job summary

Our client designs, builds and maintains wireline and wireless networks across North America. They seek experienced Senior Superintendents to oversee day-to-day field operations on large-scale fiber installation projects, develop project plans, and mentor staff.

This site-based role requires travel up to 50%, strong leadership, and the ability to manage schedules, resources and subcontractors while ensuring safety and quality.

• Maintain knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of projects
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
• Set priorities and allocate resources across the field team
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join the team for large-scale, long-haul fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address issues
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current practices
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Willing to travel 50%

Working Conditions

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
• This is a site-based position requiring travel to various offices and project locations as needed
