Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Telecommunication Engineer to design and support critical network infrastructure for our aerospace facilities, launch assets, and spacecraft systems.

You will oversee fiber and copper cabling, voice, RF systems, ground stations, telemetry, and real-time operations across missions like Falcon, Dragon, Starship and recovery vessels. Candidates should have BICSI RCDD or STEM degree and 5+ years in industrial electrical engineering, with strong

Qualifications

• Certified or degree in STEM with BICSI RCDD or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and medium/high voltage power systems.
• Experience with structured cabling for high-density commercial applications.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC codes; ANSI/TIA/BICSI cabling standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for design, operation, improvement, and troubleshooting of fiberoptic and copper network infrastructure.
• Coordinate downtime activities between maintenance, construction, and production teams to minimize disruptions.
• Drive telecommunication projects using design change requests, power monitoring data, and advanced detection methods.
• Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conduct breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and track electrical load and capacity.
• Coordinate material procurement for large scale projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to design, optimize, and maintain systems.
