Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to design complex telecom solutions for utilities, including detailed SLDs and full construction packages for robust telecom infrastructure.

You will document site details and produce designs that meet client standards, collaborating with substation, transmission, distribution, and field technicians. Proficiency with Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office is required, along with U.S. citizenship or a Green Card and NERC CIP background check.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; PE preferred.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex telecom solutions for utilities.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (Green Card) required.
• Must be able to pass a NERC CIP level background check.

Responsibilities

• Research and design complex telecom solutions for the Power/Utility industry.
• Create detailed designs: SLDs and full construction packages for robust telecom solutions: OPGW/ADSS/DWDM Fiber, Microwave, SONET MUX, MHz & Repeaters, Satellite, Radio, FAN, Circuit Paths, Power, Switches, Routers, TCP/IP, and Firewalls.
• Create and markup SLDs, interconnect diagrams, WAN, LAN, tower drawings, etc.
• Multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with management, substation, Transmission, Distribution, Specialists. And field technicians.
• Use Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office suite to create detailed documentation and designs.
