Job summary

NVIDIA is hiring a System Software Engineer for the Tegra Diagnostics team. You’ll join a group that builds software for complex heterogeneous computing systems powering servers, automotive, and embedded products used in AI, HPC, and accelerated computing workloads.

You will work across user-space, kernel, firmware or boot software, evaluate design use cases, and drive improvements with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Strong C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with low-level/driver programming.
• Understanding of processor architecture fundamentals, preferably ARM.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop drivers, tests and framework that can stress the SOC/System and go through the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in system architecture analysis and design-use cases to push SOC/system limits.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, robustness and user-friendliness of software for design validation, thermal and power characterization, manufacturing screening, and external customer bring up.
• Understand and participate in debug/root-cause analysis of complex data-center module/rack level failures; recommend remediations and drive SW architecture improvements.
• Communicate effectively with teams across the company, customers and partners.
