Tata Consultancy Services in Atlanta seeks a strategic technology leader to guide large-scale software programs and modernize cloud-based platforms. You will align IT initiatives with business goals, mentor teams, and drive governance and service excellence.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, delivery leadership, and the ability to balance risk with rapid transformation across cloud, DevOps, and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Guide and lead the team in strategic discussions and technical development recommendations to improve quality of software solutions and supporting infrastructure.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to conceptualize technology solutions and services, leveraging data to drive original design ideas and decisions.
• Drive the team toward results, help with communication and ensure that the work required matches the published timeline; when it doesn’t, plan actions to reset the team or the work and provide next steps.
• Ensure software engineering team adheres to software development best practices to analyze, design, develop, test and implement high-quality technology solutions that meet the needs of the business, including alignment with IT standards, policies and guidelines.
• Implement and drive adherence to quality assurance change initiatives, fostering an environment that encourages the team to continually review and improve operational processes.
• Ensure reliability and resiliency in supported technology portfolios by implementing appropriate tools and procedures to monitor, identify and proactively remediate software stability issues before causing customer impact.
• Develop complex, long-term work schedules that enable the organization to achieve its business goals, coordinating and planning dependencies across multiple teams to enable prioritized delivery of initiatives across the technology portfolio.
• Define and maintain a technology roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized across both technical and business needs.
• Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
• Ensure performance of skilled technical resources within the department or area of responsibility is appropriately managed and developed through setting performance objectives for direct/indirect reports, holding team members accountable and taking corrective actions where necessary to achieve committed objectives.
• Clearly articulate and outline actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and technology strategy within the team, explaining the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision and values; motivate team members to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve area goals and commitments.
• Support the development and management of labor, software and outside-service budgets and work with leadership to report variances and make recommendations where necessary.
• Evaluate team capabilities within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities; implement formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor others to support continued talent growth and development of the team.
