Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Lead, Technology Risk and Control to guide the Technology Risk Treatment program across the technology organization. You will drive risk assessments, governance forums, and the risk acceptance inventory, partnering with technology and risk leaders globally.

The role emphasizes shaping the firm's risk posture, delivering high-quality governance materials, and guiding continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience in technology risk management, controls, audit, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in technology, cybersecurity, or related field; financial services experience preferred.
• Certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the Technology Risk Treatment process with control officers and stakeholders.
• Analyze impact and controls; produce risk assessments and recommended treatment options.
• Lead governance forums; coordinate action items and maintain risk acceptance inventory.
• Develop metrics/KPIs for program visibility and risk management maturity.
