Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) in Boston seeks a Technology Senior Risk Analyst to mature the Technology Risk Management pillar and collaborate with Technology leadership. You will evaluate risk posture, provide independent challenge, and drive risk-reducing actions across the enterprise.

The role requires extensive experience in technology risk, governance, and regulatory frameworks with global exposure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Technology risk, Technology audit/compliance, or cyber GRC.
• Experience running RCAs, defining KRIs/KPIs, and presenting risk insights to senior stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills for risk narratives, control designs, matrices and remediation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk identification, assessment, and ongoing monitoring; maintain the technology risk register and ensure risks map to business objectives.
• Drive RCAs with owners; advise on control design for identity, access, changes, resiliency, cloud security, data protection, and vulnerability management.
• Define and socialize KRIs/KPIs, dashboards, trends; provide status updates to Tech leadership.
• Partner with Vendor Risk Management to assess critical vendors, review SOC reports, identify gaps, and track remediation.
• Track risk issues, action plans, and remediation; participate in lessons learned and scenario exercises.
• Support offices globally on technology risk requests and obligations.
• Assess AI/automation use cases for explainability, privacy, security and bias; ensure governance and monitoring.
• Educate teams on risk expectations and evidence quality; embed risk thinking into delivery.
