We are working with a highly successful global financial services organisation looking to appoint a Senior Technology Delivery Lead within its Connecticut-based technology function.

This is a senior, high-impact position working closely with technology leadership and engineering teams across a broad portfolio of strategic initiatives.

The organisation is undertaking significant investment in its technology platform and is looking for an experienced delivery leader who can bring greater structure, coordination and accountability across a complex engineering environment.

This is not a traditional Project Manager or administrative PMO position. The successful individual will operate across multiple engineering teams, helping establish priorities, coordinate resources, manage dependencies and ensure strategically important technology initiatives are successfully delivered.

The Role

You will work closely with senior technology and engineering leadership to improve delivery across a substantial portfolio of technology initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating technology and engineering planning across multiple teams.
• Creating clear visibility across priorities, resources, dependencies, milestones and delivery risks.
• Working with engineering leadership to manage competing priorities and resource requirements.
• Establishing pragmatic delivery disciplines without introducing unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
• Driving accountability against agreed milestones and commitments.
• Identifying cross-team dependencies and potential delivery constraints.
• Providing senior stakeholders with clear reporting around progress, risk, priorities and required decisions.
• Constructively challenging engineering teams where plans, timelines or technical responses require greater clarity.
• Translating complex technology initiatives into clear business outcomes and impact for non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinating major transformation initiatives involving multiple technology and business functions.
• Improving communication and alignment between engineering, technology leadership and the wider business.

The successful candidate will operate across a broad technology transformation agenda that includes:

• Cloud and infrastructure modernisation.
• Enterprise adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
• Engineering productivity and platform initiatives.
• Broader technology modernisation programmes.
• Cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across multiple engineering and business teams.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between strategic planning and hands‑on delivery.

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates from investment banking, capital markets or similarly sophisticated financial technology environments.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

You do not need to be a software engineer. However, you must possess sufficient technical understanding and credibility to work effectively with senior engineers, architects and technology leaders.

Experience across cloud, data or AI‑related transformation would be particularly valuable.

AI Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate genuine involvement in the delivery and adoption of AI capabilities within a large organisation.

Candidates should be prepared to discuss:

• The specific AI capability or programme delivered.
• Their personal responsibility within the programme.
• How engineering and business teams were coordinated.
• How the technology progressed from experimentation into production.
• How adoption was driven amongst end users.
• The scale and impact of the programme.
• Tangible business outcomes achieved.

We are looking for substantive delivery experience rather than general exposure to AI strategy or emerging technology initiatives.

Target Background

The mandate is particularly relevant to senior technology delivery professionals currently operating within global investment banks or other large, engineering‑led financial institutions.

Candidates who have developed within technology before moving into broader programme, product, transformation or delivery leadership would be particularly relevant.

The key requirement is the ability to understand complex technology environments, establish structure, influence senior engineers and drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Location

The position is based in Connecticut with an expectation of approximately three days per week in the office.

Candidates should either already be appropriately located or be genuinely open to relocating to Connecticut.
