Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is hiring a Senior Laboratory Technologist for the Central Labs, evenings, part-time. The role includes supervising lab staff in quantitative and qualitative tests and participating in problem solving to maintain QA/QC standards.

The candidate should have a BS in Medical Technology (or equivalent), NY licensure, and ASCP certification preferred, with at least two years of relevant experience and six years as a lab technologist.

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department.

• Train and guide laboratory technologists.
• Participate in problem-solving processes and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
• Ensure on-site presence and adherence to lab protocols.

Our technologists are conducting the widest array of testing in this fast-paced, high-volume environment. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology problems. Combined with the stem cell capabilities of our Cellular Therapy department, we offer unlimited opportunities to advance your expertise.

Take the next step in your career and join the team as a Senior Laboratory Technologist. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will assume some supervision and coordination of the activities of the laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative test.

Here, you will have the ability to train and guide laboratory technologist, participate in problem-solving processes and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards, among other responsibilities.

This is a part-time evening shift position located at our NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center located on Manhattan's east side.

• 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist
