Position Summary

Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Tech

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you have relevant experience, bring your skills to our dynamic environment. Your role will support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment in Walmart stores, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass MVR
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment using appropriate tools
• Use work order management system to document repair activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete required safety training
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and use ladders

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. Eligible for bonuses. Benefits include health plans, 401(k), stock purchase plan, paid leave, Walmart discounts, work vehicle and tools, education benefits, and more.

The hourly wage range is $29.00-$56.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year HVAC/R technical program or AAS in A/C and Refrigeration
• Excellent driving record
• Experience with Glycol and CO2 systems
