Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Florida is seeking a qualified fleet mechanic to service service trucks and trailers.

You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, tire rotations and oil changes, diagnose issues, and plan repairs with the team. Maintain accurate repair records, ensure DOT compliance including brake maintenance, manage inventories of parts, and complete daily reports in a safe, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes
• Collaborates with the repair team to diagnose problems and plan repairs
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
• Repairs, modifies, and performs preventative maintenance on fleet equipment
• Completes all required preventive maintenance to keep operations running
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure DOT compliance including brake maintenance
• Completes daily reporting
• Maintains inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment and adheres to all regulations

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
• Collaborates with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Responsible for repairing, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant including brake maintenance.
• Completes all required daily reporting as required.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
