Job description

Overview

The Senior Technician plays a key role in supporting the analyst and senior team members to ensure efficient data processing and task execution within the team. This position is hands-on, contributing to data production using ArcGIS Pro, Trimble Inpho, Photoshop, and Global Mapper, while maintaining high quality standards and supporting workflow efficiency. The Senior Technician is responsible for executing assigned tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the successful delivery of project outputs. The duties of the Senior Technician are performed at the Portland, OR office.

Responsibilities
  • Support data production tasks using ArcGIS Pro, Trimble Inpho, Photoshop, and Global Mapper
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians and contractors
  • Ensure smooth data flow and task execution within the team
  • Perform QA/QC checks on deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Train team members on technical workflows and software tools
  • Assist in improving process efficiencies and refining methodologies
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and apply practical problem-solving
  • Document workflows and maintain clear technical records
  • Support automation and workflow enhancements where applicable
  • Contribute ideas for incorporating new technologies and methodologies
  • Help monitor project progress and ensure timely task completion
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical, professional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ESRI or other vector-based software
  • Familiarity with Python, GDAL, UltraMap, and/or Capture One is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and ability to work collaboratively within a team
