Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, to uphold safety, functionality, and upkeep of facilities. You will diagnose issues, manage maintenance schedules, mentor associates, and coordinate with contractors to meet safety standards and quality expectations.

You will support training initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring reliable operations across Walmart facilities in the Spring, TX area.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, equipment handling, or related area.
• Six years' experience in plumbing, electrical, equipment handling, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI in the last five years.

This position involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors to meet quality and safety standards. The role requires expertise in multiple crafts, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective documentation of maintenance activities. The Senior Technician also supports training initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to maintain operational excellence across facilities.

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.
• Proficiency in multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment operation.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and facility issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools.
• Strong leadership skills to oversee projects, mentor associates, and manage contractors.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Competence in managing maintenance schedules, work orders, inventory, and budget reporting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to support team goals and continuous improvement.

Salary & Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
