Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across facilities. You will oversee schedules, mentor associates, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSA, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

• Proficiency in multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation.
• Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination.
• Effective leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and train associates and technicians.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support team goals and continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
