Job Summary

A Senior Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Burnsville, MN area. This position will support the design, assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation of test hardware and systems for commercial and defense sensor products, working collaboratively with engineers in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

A Senior Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Burnsville, MN area. This position will support the design, assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation of test hardware and systems for commercial and defense sensor products, working collaboratively with engineers in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

salary: $28.80 - 40.41 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• Build test hardware such as cables, boxes, and racks using engineering drawings.
• Develop and support innovative test solutions for manufacturing and production.
• Collaborate with engineers to create and review test system designs and documentation.
• Update or markup documentation including drawings, schematics, BOMs, and classifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair test hardware issues reported by operations teams.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, operators, and technicians in a team environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex cable assemblies and test boxes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and wire lists.
• Skilled in tooling, soldering, and crimping techniques.
• Knowledge of Minnesota State Electrical codes and regulations.
• strong communication and mentorship abilities.
