Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist Technical Writer to develop and maintain high-quality, compliant technical documentation. You will work with engineering data, interpret drawings, and author structured content using S1000D standards.

Responsibilities include leading documentation efforts on complex projects, ensuring consistency, and delivering on time. Requires strong XML/Writing tools proficiency and a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage technical manual content in accordance with S1000D and MIL-STD-24784 requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and SME input to ensure accuracy.
• Create and maintain XML-based documentation using S1000D-compliant tools such as Arbortext.
• Collaborate with managers, engineering, quality, logistics, and project teams to gather information and validate content.
