You will mentor other writers, manage project schedules, and develop visuals to support text.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Technical Communications, or related field.
  • 7+ years of technical writing experience in engineering/biotech.
  • 3+ years in a regulated document control environment.
  • 2+ years in equipment/hardware technical writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify technical documents for instruments and automation, SOPs, protocols, and training.
  • Lead documentation projects to meet regulatory and user needs.
  • Mentor and review documents for other writers.
  • Develop educational materials and host workshops across Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs to understand product and audience needs.
  • Write clearly and present information with supporting graphics.
