Job summary

Acro Service Corporation seeks a Technical Editor and Writer to craft and revise technical manuals and procedures for military and civilian audiences. You will gather subject knowledge from developers, oversee visuals, and ensure quality across all manuals.

The role requires experience with IETM data modules, Spec1000D, and MIL-STD constraints, plus proficiency with Arbortext, SGML, and XML. Travel to customer sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in writing and editing technical manuals and publications.
• Experience with IETM data modules and Spec1000D development.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD constraints and technical style guides.
• Ability to work with illustration materials and IPB references.

Responsibilities

• Write, rewrite and edit technical documents for diverse audiences.
• Interview developers and reference specs to acquire subject knowledge.
• Oversee preparation of drawings, diagrams and charts for manuals.
• Conduct quality reviews of technical manuals.
