Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical and Professional Communication, Journalism, or another communication-related field is required.
• 5+ years' experience as a formal, technical, or medical writer is required.
• 2 years of experience with MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp is required.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely in formal English.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Self-motivated with strong time management and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Education or experience in a software or health care-related field is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) and other publishing software is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• As a Technical Writer, Senior, you play a critical role in managing the creation and maintenance of high-quality documentation across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and project-specific requirements.
• Contribute independently and take ownership of assigned projects, working with moderate to minimal supervision.
• Lead the preparation, review, and editing of diverse documentation throughout the project life cycle, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company and project standards.
• Provide task leadership to junior team members, supporting their growth by offering guidance on documentation best practices and ensuring project objectives are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to gather and effectively communicate information, ensuring all documentation aligns with stakeholder expectations.
• Adapt writing and editing styles to appropriately address varied audiences, enhancing the clarity and impact of all deliverables.
• Promote and enforce the consistent application of document standards and design across all materials to uphold quality and consistency expectations.
• Coordinate the management and maintenance of documentation tools and resources to improve team efficiency and document accessibility.
