Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr. Technical Writer to create and deliver technical documentation for global field service teams. This role will prototype service manuals and instructions to aid troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

It is currently remote and will become an on-site role at the Lafayette, Colorado campus in the future. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of related experience, with strong proficiency in MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, and the Adobe

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Within commuting distance to Lafayette, Colorado.
For degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying visa requirements is required.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for Service & Repair technicians.
Produces PDF and web-based publications using various tools.
Interviews users and experts to gather data for documentation.
Translates technical information into procedures for technical and non-technical audiences.
Documents engineering processes and specifications when needed.
Ensures publications conform to documentation and quality standards.
