Job summary

Medtronic plc seeks a Sr. Technical Writer to create and deliver global service manuals and technical instructions for field service employees. This remote role is expected to transition to on-site at the Lafayette, Colorado campus.

You will develop detailed procedures, conduct SME interviews, and ensure documentation aligns with QA standards and regulatory expectations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in MadCap Flare,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Technical Writing or Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience; advanced degree with 2+ years acceptable.
Experience in a regulated environment, preferably medical devices.
Familiar with topic-based authoring in a CMS (MadCap Flare).
Proficient with FrameMaker, Adobe CS, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of PLM systems such as Windchill or Agile.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, write and edit detailed technical instructions for Service & Repair techs.
Produce PDF and web-based publications using various tools.
Interview users and SMEs to gather data for documentation.
Translate technical info into procedures for diverse audiences.
Document engineering processes and specs when applicable.
Recommend formats responsive to technical and user needs.
Ensure products meet documentation and QA standards.
