You will manage the full document lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, style, and compliance with GPO/Chicago standards and Section 508 accessibility.

Responsibilities include researching, interviewing subject matter experts, editing for quality, and coordinating with engineers and staff to produce authoritative reports, manuals, and features

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, communications, journalism, or related field.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, and publishing.
• Expertise with GPO and Chicago style guides; 508 compliance.
• Experience in transportation research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write original content for magazines, newsletters, user manuals, and research documents.
• Provide editorial support across production stages for print and electronic formats; improve flow and structure.
• Verify technical accuracy through interviews, conferences, and data verification.
