Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support US Army programs, focusing on analytical, financial, logistics, engineering, and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment.

The role requires U.S. Citizenship and a strong background in DoD technical writing, with a MA/MS/MBA and 10 years of experience; substitutions are allowed. You will organize material, edit, and collaborate with subject matter experts to publish precise publications.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • MA/MS/MBA in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Creative Writing with 10 years of experience as a technical writer within the DOD environment.
  • 2 additional years and a BA/BS or 5 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to standards for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
  • Confer with customer representatives, vendors, or subject matter experts to establish technical specifications and determine subject material for publication.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Select photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence.
  • Assist in laying out material for publication.
  • Draw sketches to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence.

DCS is searching for a performance‑driven Senior Technical Writer to support US Army programs. A focus on either Analytical, Financial, logistics, engineering, technical writing and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment. Required Skills:
