Job summary

EQT Corporation is seeking a Technical Trainer II / Senior Technical Trainer to develop, coordinate, and deliver technical training supporting safe, compliant natural gas operations. You will manage classroom and hands-on instruction, OQ evaluations, and curriculum development across departments.

The role emphasizes instructional design and curriculum development, with travel up to 20% within PA, OH, and WV. Remote/office/hybrid work will be supported to enable effective training delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical training experience.
• Incorporate educational technologies and computer-based tools to enhance training effectiveness and student engagement.
• Experience in instructional design.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands-on technical instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain technical training materials, classroom instruction, hands-on workshops, and computer-based training programs for natural gas operations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive training schedule covering new-hire training, Operator Qualification evaluations, recurring training, and specialized technical instruction.
• Administer and maintain the Absorb 360 Learning Management System (LMS) to assign, deliver, track, and document employee training, testing, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Provide classroom and hands-on technical instruction to employees and contractors on operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting of natural gas pipeline and compression station facilities and associated equipment.
• Conduct Operator Qualification (OQ) training and evaluations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations management and Compliance to support adherence to applicable DOT, PHMSA, OSHA, and company requirements.
• Work with Engineering and other technical departments to support the development and revision of O&M procedures, corporate standards, and related training materials.
• Conduct field inspections, observations, and evaluations to assess knowledge and skills and adherence to procedures.
• Identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions to strengthen safety and performance.
• Assist management in developing best practices related to operational activities, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct welder qualification and requalification testing per applicable codes and procedures.
