Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking an experienced instructor to deliver formal training programs and develop course materials for Caterpillar and Allied products. You will train internal and external technicians, design curricula, and collaborate with teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and stakeholder relationships, with opportunities to mentor instructors and maintain the eTRAIN content library.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• 7 years in heavy equipment industry preferred.
• 5 years experience in course delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, communications, business, or similar).
• Proof of current valid driver’s license; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructional programs to enhance employee productivity, safety and increase profitability.
• Design and deliver specialized training curriculum to meet internal and external client needs.
• Deliver class lectures following assigned lesson plans to meet course objectives.
• Maintain safety for participants and equipment at all times.
• Administer exams and submit trainee evaluations.
• Maintain documentation for each course within 2 work days of completion.
• Maintain relationships with Empire personnel, Caterpillar contacts and client personnel.
• Develop customer courses to meet clients’ training needs.
