Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Sr Technical Sourcing Specialist to qualify, develop, and select suppliers and contract manufacturers for raw materials, machined parts, and fabricated components.

The role requires interpreting technical drawings, material specs, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements to align supplier capabilities with engineering needs. The ideal candidate will lead sourcing strategy for technically complex commodities, drive supplier qualification, and build partnerships to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years in a Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain role.
• Experience in a vertically integrated manufacturing organization.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Advanced Excel and cost-modeling skills.
• Experience with SAP or IFS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for raw materials and technical commodities.
• Lead supplier qualification and development programs with engineering, quality, operations, and manufacturing teams.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to achieve lowest total cost while balancing technical requirements and lead-times.
• Travel to supplier sites for audits, reviews, and capability assessments.
• Implement purchase contracts compliant with company and government regulations.
• Support pricing, vendor performance, and delivery options with schedulers.
