Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a procurement professional to support the development, implementation, and management of strategies that optimize supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance.

You will analyze materials and BOM inputs, bridge estimating/engineering/purchasing activities, and build strong supplier relationships to achieve best pricing, quality, terms and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Strong understanding of supply strategy, KanBan, VMI, Safety Stock, etc.
• Excellent communication skills for a multi-layered workforce.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with an ERP environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bills of material and drawings/specifications to understand key requirements for project goals.
• Bridge estimating/engineering/purchasing inputs surrounding BOMs.
• Build strong supplier relationships to attain optimum price, quality, terms and delivery objectives.
• Track and report KPI’s to management, as requested.
• Support purchasing projects such as cost savings efforts and CapEx projects.
• Enforce corrective action processes and issue SCARs as needed.
• Proactively communicate to identify gaps between purchase orders and the master production schedule.
• All other duties as assigned.
